WEEC is an international congress for discussion of the key issues of environmental education and education for sustainable development. It is the most important joint experience of its kind existing on an international level. This year the congress addresses 11 different themes, expecting participants from all over the world. International and regional organisations, governments, NGOs, national and local institutions, researchers and universities, schools and civil society – everyone interested in the field is invited to participate and contribute to this event.
NGO Forum
The NGO Forum at the congress constitutes a great opportunity for your NGO to present your work in an international arena for researchers, practitioners, press and media. You can learn more about the latest in environmental education and education for sustainable development and discuss different issues. Participating in the NGO- Forum gives you a chance to get valuable feedback that can further improve your work, establish new connections, as well as attract potential donors.
How to participate?
The NGO – Forum is an area where you can set up an information stand during the whole congress or give a mini lecture on your organisation and your work. The participation in the NGO – Forum is free of charge; representatives have to register through the website.
Date & Venue
The 8th edition of WEEC will take place between June 29 and July 2 2015 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main venue is the Gothenburg Concert Hall in the city centre where registration, exhibitions and plenary sessions will take place. Parallel sessions, side events and NGO- Forum will be held in the surrounding university buildings.
