Valands Festvåning
The City of Gothenburg hereby invites the delegates at the 8th World Environmental Education Congress to a reception at Valands Festvåning.
Valand was built between 1870 and 1890, when the population doubled from 50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants. The grand building was built in Italian Renaissance style and was intended for art exhibitions at first but is now used for balls and other festive events.
Programme
On June 29 at 18:30, the Deputy Lord Mayor, Piotr Kiszkiel, would like to welcome you to the City of Gothenburg by inviting you to a reception at Valands Festvåning in the city centre.
Light refreshments will be served.
Ticket
Please ensure you bring your ticket received with your name badge with you to gain access at the door. Number of places is limited. Please note that your registration is binding and only if you indicated you wish to attend the City Reception during the registration process you will receive a ticket onsite.

Restaurant Trädgårn
Trädgårn is a restaurant for all kind of different events and people, from families to entire companies. With its accessible location in the hearth of Gothenburg and a capacity up to 1700 guests it is the perfect location for the Congress Dinner.
The Congress Dinner gives you the chance to deepen conversations with the people you have met at WEEC2015 and to have a nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Programme
The doors open at 18:30 and the programme starts at 19:00. Before the programme starts it will be possible to buy refreshments in the bar.
In order to bring EE and ESD to a wider public we initiated a recipe contest among the schools of Gothenburg. The recipe contest aimed at providing a concrete example on how it is possible to work with EE and ESD in the schools by interacting between different school subjects with the common objective of creating a recipe which should be at the same time delicious, environmental sustainable, healthy and economic. The winning recipe will be served to you at the Congress Dinner. You can read it here in Swedish, English, Spanish and French.

The easiest way to get to the restaurant is by walking. The walking path from the Concert Hall at Götaplatsen is shown in the map below. You can also take the tram or the bus to Kungsportsplatsen, walk over the bridge and turn left into Nya allén until you arrive at Trädgårn.
